DirectionsBy car from points North
- Use I-87 South.
- Take exit 17 for New York 17K toward I-84/Newburgh/Stewart Airport. (Partial toll road)
- Keep right at the fork to continue toward I-84E and merge on I-84E. (Partial toll road)
- Cross over the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge.
- Take the exit toward N Rd / New York 9D S.
- Turn right at N Rd / New York 9D S. Follow for 3 miles. Destination will be on your left at the "University Settlement Beacon Campus" green sign.
By car from points South
- Take the Sprain Brook Parkway and continue onto NY 987G N/ Taconic State Parkway.
- Exit onto NY-100 N/New York 9A N/Saw Mill River Road.
- Merge onto US-9 N/New York 9A N via the ramp to Peekskill. Follow New York 9A N.
- Turn left at US-202 W/US-6 W/US-9 N/Jans Peek Branch/Lower S Street.
- At the traffic circle, continue straight onto US-9 N/Albany Post Road.
- Turn left at NY-403 N/Cat Rock Road.
- Turn right to stay on NY-403 N/Cat Rock Road.
- Turn right at New York 9D N. Destination will be on the right at the steel sign in the shape of a sloop.
By train (Metro North Railroad)
Take the Metro North Hudson Line to the Beacon Station (located at 1 Ferry Plaza and Beekman Street).
Shuttle service from the Beacon Metro North station will be provided at an additional cost. Please note the number of guests that will need transportation when you register.
Shuttle Service from Metro North to Camp Clearwater will be provided between 10am and 11am.
Shuttle Service from Camp Clearwater to Metro North will be provided between 2pm and 3:30pm.

Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: What is Hudson River Sloop Clearwater?
A: Hudson River Sloop Clearwater is a camp that now operates in the white building on the former University Settlement Camp site. The University Settlement Camp Reunion is being held in conjunction with Clearwater's annual graduation celebration. You will learn more about Clearwater when you attend the reunion, or you can visit their website at www.clearwater.org.
Q: Can I get to the reunion on public transportation?
A: Yes! You may take a Metro North train directly to Beacon, NY. University Settlement will be providing van service from the Metro North Beacon station to and from the event for $15, which will be included in your registration fee should you select the "with transportation" option when you register.
Q: When I get to the reunion, how will I find other alumni that I went to camp with?
A: Each alumnus will be given a nametag with his/her name and years attended on it.
Q: Will lunch be provided?
A: Yes! University Settlement alumni and Clearwater graduates will enjoy an old fashioned barbeque lunch on the green. The lunch is included with your reunion payment (and is free for children).
Q: Why is there a fee for adults to attend the reunion?
A: The $30 fee for adults will help off-set some of the costs of hosting the reunion at the former camp, including rental of the camp site from the city of Beacon (current owner of the grounds), lunch and other rentals (like chairs and tables) that will be used that day.
